Volunteer to coach for the Minneapolis United Recreational Soccer program!
Coaches are needed for u6-u14 boys and girls. NO experience needed. Older siblings and friends are welcome to coach too. Currently we have about half of the coaches that we need for the upcoming season. Every team will need a coach!
Training will be provided on May 30th at Burroughs Elementary School from 8:45-11:00AM.
At this training, you will receive a coach’s manual with basic soccer drills and information. The kick-off on Sat., June 6 allows you to pick up some pointers from Augsburg soccer players and trainers.
Direct on-going support for coaches at the fields is provided throughout the season by Mike Navarre, Augsburg Women’s Soccer Coach.
As an added perk, children of coaches almost always get their friend requests. Consider coaching with a friend, it’s sure to be a blast!

All new traveling players can order their uniform here:https://planetsoccer.tuosystems.com/stores/musp15late. Use code LateReg at checkout to avoid the late fee. The club assigns all numbers to new players based on what is available in each age group so you can leave that section blank. If you requested a specific number during your registration please be aware that you will most likely not receive that number.
You may go to Planet Soccer on Lyndale Ave. to try on uniform samples. This is recommended in order to ensure accurate sizes.
Delivery will be approximately April 15. Managers will be contacted to pick up their team’s items (if any) at Planet Soccer.
We will change uniforms in Summer ’16.

Minneapolis United’s Travel Soccer Program has experienced significant success and growth over the past several years. To better position the Club for continued future success, the Board is adjusting the structure of the coaching directors. Historically, the Club has been divided into a Boys Program and a Girls Program with a coaching director responsible for the quality and success of each program. With significant growth, MU now has in excess of 60 traveling teams. The Board feels that 30+ teams are too many for a single coaching director to adequately oversee. So, effective immediately, the Board will realign the coaching directors to be responsible for specific playing levels. The Board believes that the new structure will enhance the development and success of all players and teams. Click here for more...

Thank you so much to everyone who donated soccer items for me to take with me to my mission trip to Honduras! The collection was so successful and I ended up collecting this many items:
The cleats were amazing and every single person took them! They were all wearing them the next day and even some of the older adults received a pair and wore them the next day at work because they serve as good shoes for the coffee hills. They absolutely loved them and all of the other items.
I can't even express to you in words how grateful these kids and adults were for your donations. Mothers came up and expressed their gratitude and the head of the organization, Misioneros de Esperanza in Honduras, told me that the kids have never had cleats before because they are too expensive and that she is so thankful for all of you. Their expressions the next day when they were all wearing their new shoes was priceless and that's all thanks to you guys!
I hope you enjoy the slideshow below!
Thanks so much again!
