La ESCUELA MUNDIAL de futbol
Thank you to everyone who donated their older ”Admiral“ and other uniforms awhile back. We had a great response! We collected 243 jerseys, 92 shorts, 40 pairs of socks and many cleats.
Because so many items were donated, we are able to send them to two different organizations. One shipment was sent to the North province of Rwanda, Africa to in-need secondary and primary schools in and around the town of Ruhengeri. Another shipment was sent to the Malalo Sport foundation in Zambia, Africa. This grassroots organization focuses on improving the lives of Zambian youths. Its main objective is to introduce young Zambians to sport at the community level and to offer youths and children a chance to play the sport they appreciate the most. To learn more about this organization, go to www.malalosport.com
We’d like to give a big thank you to Lee Stotts, an MU parent and the owner of Edina Cleaners. He dry cleaned, sorted, and packaged everything to get it ready for shipment. Also, thank you to Becky Reed who took time out to collect the uniforms, organized them, and hauled many boxes to the post office. This would not have been possible without their involvement.
As seen by these pictures, everyone who donated should feel certain that these items will be enjoyed and much appreciated by many youth soccer players in Africa.
Thanks again,
MU Board
