Rec Soccer update

The following age groups are now full for 2008 Rec Soccer:

Boys u6 – u7

Boys U12 – U14.

Boys U8/U9.

Girls U8/U9

If you have never played Soccer before...

...now is the time to start! If you have played before, then you know what a great time it is!

Basics

From June through July, MU’s Rec League of boys and girls for ages 6 through 13, swarm the fields at Pearl park. In summer of 2007, we had over 880 players on 70 teams; kicking, laughing and having a blast. Our Rec program is intended to be an introduction to soccer as well as for players who don't want the heavier commitment of Travelling Soccer. The teams are coached by parents or volunteer coaches. The games are refereed by young players involved with our Travelling Soccer program, or for youngest teams, by the coaches themselves.

Registration deadline is May 11. We will accept late registrations only if space is available.

Features

Our Rec program features: Full uniforms for each player; a Kick-Off Camp; Daytime Clinics for coaches and players; and for all you budding coaches a Coaching Clinic lead by Zafer Kilickan, MU’s Master Coaching Director.

Age level is determined by player’s age on August 1st of the previous year. (For example: U8 means the player was “under 8” on August 1st last year.) See chart at right to determine age level that corresponds to player’s birth date:
