Where are the games played?

Games are played at Pearl Park in south Minneapolis.

All players should have their soccer ball clearly marked with their name.

How long is the season?

The season starts June 14; ends July 31.

Are teams mixed gender and ages?

Boys and girls play on separate teams. Ages are combined U6-U7, U8-U9, U10-U11, U12-U14. Exceptions are rare, but possible.

What day are the games played?

Each team plays two games per week. The tentative daily schedule is:

• Mon and Wed: all U6-U7; boys U8-U14
• Tue and Thu: girls U8-U14

What time are the games played?

The tentative time schedule is:

• 6:00 PM : boys/girls U6-U7, girls U8-U9
• 7:00 PM : boys U8-U9, girls U10-U11
• 8:00 PM : boys U10-U14, girls U12-U14

How many players are on the field?

MU summer rec league play is 6 per side.

How big is the field?

The U8-U14 teams play on fields that are approximately ½ the size of a regulation soccer field. The U6-U7 teams play on ¼ size fields.

Do I get a uniform?

Yes. Each player gets a full uniform (jersey, shorts and socks). Shin guards and cleats are not provided, but are recommended, especially for the U8-U14 players.

You do not need to select uniform sizes.

*Uniforms are issued at the Kick-Off Camp.

Do you use paid referees?

Yes. U8-U14 games are officiated by paid referees. U6-U7 are led by the coaches.

When is the Kick-Off Camp?

The Kick-Off Camp is Saturday, June 14th at Pearl Park. It is optional, but recommended.

  U10-U14 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

What are the free Daytime Clinics?

The free Daytime Clinics give coaches and players a chance to practice together early in the season. These clinics are held at Pearl Park and are optional.

Girls U8-U14:

• Mon/Wed (June 16/18)
  10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

All Boys ages and U6/U7 Girls:

• Tues/Thurs (June 17/19)
  10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

What about practices?

It is up to the coaches, managers and parents of each team to decide when to have practices. Each team is different.

How much does it cost?

The fee for:

• U6-U7 is $80
• U8-U14 is $95

Late registrations are charged an extra $15 and are only accepted if space is available.

What is the registration deadline?

The registration deadline is May 11th, 2008. Online registration is highly recommended. Your payment date is your registration date.
