MU President’s Welcome Letter

Welcome to the 2015–2016 traveling season. MU strives to be a player-centric, coach-driven club for players in greater Minneapolis who love to play competitive soccer.

Thank you to everyone who participated in tryouts and the ongoing team formation process involving over 1,000 players and countless staff and volunteer hours.  MU works hard to place players on the right teams.  We balance a love of the game, fun, a good coach/player fit, and the goal of improving technical skill, tactical awareness, physical and psychological development. MU believes that the best way to accomplish this is to match players with their peers. Although this annual process is one of the most important endeavors we engage in, it will never be perfect from any one perspective. MU’s Directors of Coaching, assessors, coaches, staff, volunteer traveling coordinators, and board seek to improve this process every year.  I wish to thank all the participants who have worked to make MU’s team formation process fair and effective.     2015/16 SEASON REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR ALL PLAYERS

    All players must complete the season registration to accept and secure their roster spot.  The deadline to complete the season registration without penalty was August 5.

    $100 Late Registration Fee is now in effect and unregistered players can lose their roster spots as MU finalizes rosters based on those players that have registered.

     

    NOTE:  MU will use all proceeds from late registration fees as contributions to the John Sylvester Financial Assistance Fund.

    U9/U10 MYSA Fall Jamboree Registration Deadline
    • All Day Event Ical_event_icon
    • MYSA offers a one-day U9/U10 festival on Saturday, October 3rd at Elmcrest Park in Ramsey.  The Jamborees are fun events that allow players to test their skills in a fun and festive atmosphere against teams from outside their leagues. Each team will be guaranteed three 30-minute games scheduled within a three-hour block. No scores are kept and participating gifts will be given to each registered player in the Jamboree.  Cost is only $110 per team, registration deadline is September 18.
