MU is excited to announce that we are a part of history by joining MLS NEXT’s new competition tier starting this fall!
MU has been selected to join the new league beginning play Fall 2025. The result is that six of MU’s 13U-19U Boys Academy teams (six total teams) will join MLS NEXT’s new competition tier to compete against top clubs from our region and compete on a national level in tournaments.

MN National Premier Leagues
16 Minneapolis United teams have qualified for NPL.
6 teams began play this fall and 10 teams will begin in November. Home games through the winter will be held at the Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield.
USYS NATIONAL LEAGUE
For the 2024-25 season, MU will have 9 teams competing in the USYS National League - Midwest Conference.
